Owner/Founder

Lisa Kuesel Traynor is the owner and founder of Synergy Gymnastics. She is a leader with over 30+ years of experience in the health, wellness and education fields, having graduated from West Chester University with a B.S. degree as a Health and Wellness Specialist, as well as a M.S. degree in Exercise and Sport Physiology. She recently spent 18 years as a Chief Operating Officer at an insurance company, and previously served as Director of the Graduate Hospital Executive Health and Sports Medicine Center before creating her own company, Premiere Health and Fitness. She has also served as an adjunct professor at both West Chester University and Cabrini College. Aside from her love for gymnastics, she enjoys teaching group fitness, dance, theater, and spending time with her husband and two children. Lisa believes strongly in the importance of female empowerment and leadership, and founded Synergy to make a difference in the lives of the female athletes and coaches that we work with. She is also CPR certified, ACE fitness certified, as well as USAG Safety Certified and compliant.

Coach Joe

Head Coach

Joe is a career athlete and coach, having been a gymnast himself who competed at Nationals as early as sixth grade. He also was a competitive baseball player through high school. He grew up in New Jersey and is a big Eagles fan!

Joe has coached women’s gymnastics at very high level programs like Cherry Hill Gymnastics and Will-moor in New Jersey. He then relocated and worked for ACE Gymnastics in Florida and finally at Suncoast Gymnastics in Florida. During his 20+ years of coaching, he has helped coach numerous regional champions, national qualifiers and collegiate scholarship athletes. His vast knowledge of the sport will help not only our compulsory gymnasts, but also our upper level team girls who are learning difficult new skills as they advance in their gymnastics journey. Joe’s experience, knowledge of technique, strong spotting skills, love of learning and energetic personality make him a great fit for our team!

Coach Amanda

Xcel Head Coach

Amanda Lane has been involved with gymnastics for her entire life. After competing throughout her childhood, she joined the Ursinus College gymnastics team, where she was a beam specialist. While at Ursinus, she majored in exercise science with minors in coaching and psychology. She also has a masters in elementary education from Johns Hopkins University, and over 20 years experience as a certified elementary school teacher. Amanda has been a coach since she was 14 years old and is currently a USAG certified judge through Level 10. She is excited to bring her knowledge and passion for the sport to the team at Synergy.

Coach Jade

Jade Sadowski participated in gymnastics for 14 years, competing also as a college gymnast at SUNY Brockport, and now gets to share her passion with others as a team coach. Her favorite events to practice and compete were vault and beam. Being a part of a collegiate team taught her that the real sport of gymnastics is teamwork, leadership, and always having each other’s back. She wants to pass this onto others so they can value the sport and also use these qualities in the long run! In her tenure at Synergy, Coach Jade has helped train some of our most technically sound gymnasts as a result of her attention to detail and solid coaching techniques.  In her spare time, she is a big Eagles fan and loves to get out in nature.  She has worked as a medical assistant at a dermatology practice, and is also CPR certified.
Coach Tara

Team Coach

Tara Percival started gymnastics at the age of 5 and instantly feel in love with the sport. She competed through her Junior year of high school at Level 9, and then went on to attend Penn State University. While at Penn State, Tara joined the club gymnastics team and competed all four years on the Level 9/10 team, and she was the team captain during her senior year. Tara graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology (the science behind human movement and exercise physiology). Tara’s many years of gymnastics competition, along with her degree in Kinesiology helps to bring a wealth of knowledge to the Synergy Team!

Coach Jada

Jada is a founding member of the Synergy Gymnastics team and competed through her senior year as a second year Level 9 gymnast. She currently attends the George Washington University and competes on their club gymnastics team in both the women and men’s events. She loves the sport of gymnastics and the discipline and strength it builds in athletes. Jada is founder of Synergy Youth Sports, our 501C3 non-profit, which provides scholarships to our graduating seniors and families in need. While home on break, Jada helps coach our rising Level 3 and 4 gymnasts, helping them to prepare for their upcoming season.
Coach Morgan

Team Coach

Morgan has a passion for the sport of gymnastics and is thrilled to be coaching at Synergy. She competed in trampoline and tumbling through Level 7 and then coached artistic gymnastics in her hometown throughout high school. After graduating from West Chester University, Morgan began coaching again. She can be seen coaching our Level 3 girls as well as our recreational and team prep classes, and she loves helping the athletes reach their goals.

Coach Lexi

Lexie Stiefel is a level 7 coach at Synergy. Her gymnastics journey began at Metzlers Gymnastics, where her love of the sport and now lifelong passion took root. She trained up to level 10 and later competed as a member of the Springfield College Division III Gymnastics Team from 2013-2017. She went on to graduate with a degree in Psychology and a minor in marketing. Coming full circle, she now seeks to instill the values, knowledge, and abilities gained through years of hard work and perseverance, unto her athletes in the gym so that each may reach their highest potential. She is CPR and USAG safety certified.

Coach Nkiru

Team Coach

Nkiru was a competitive gymnast for 12 years, training from Level 4 through Level 10. She started at Philadelphia Gymnastics Center and finished her career at Roth’s CrossPoint Gymnastics, where she also coached for three years. Floor and beam were always her favorite events. Originally from Bryn Mawr, PA, she graduated from NYU and has a background in sales with an interest in media, entertainment, and marketing. She is also a singer-songwriter. She began coaching to give back to the sport she loves and to pass on the insight and encouragement she once received. Now a Level 5 coach, she enjoys helping young gymnasts build confidence and strong foundations so they can reach their full potential.
Coach Kayla

Kayla was a competitive gymnast through Level 7 and grew up dancing as well. She’s been coaching gymnastics and dance for many years and loves watching young athletes develop their skills and confidence. Kayla coaches Level 2 and pre-team gymnasts, and having her daughter Ellie on the competitive team makes it even more special to be part of the program.

Mickayla grew up competing in gymnastics and was also involved in dance and lacrosse throughout her childhood. She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and has a passion for working with young athletes. Mickayla loves helping gymnasts develop not only their skills but also their confidence, determination and love for the sport. She works with our pre-competition track athletes as well as our Level 2 Team.

Coach Bailey is a pre-dental biology student at West Chester University. She competed at level 10 for six seasons at Georgia Elite Gymnastics and was a member of the WCU NCCA Gymnastics team. Bailey is so excited to be a part of the Synergy team and to mentor the next generation of gymnasts.

Sam started gymnastics at age 8 and competed through Level 9, developing a deep love and appreciation for the sport along the way. Uneven bars has always been her favorite event and one of her strongest. With many years of coaching experience, Sam is passionate about sharing her knowledge by helping gymnasts learn new skills, build confidence, and grow in a positive and supportive environment. Seeing the excitement, passion, and confidence gymnasts gain through their progress is one of her greatest rewards of being a coach.

Coach Jorja

Recreation Program Leader / Xcel Coach

Jorja competed as a gymnast and a cheerleader when she was growing up. In high school, she also became the team captain of her tennis team. Jorja graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Business Management and is pursuing her Master’s in Education at Immaculata University while also working as a substitute teacher. Coaching is where her heart is, as the head of our recreational program and coach for our Xcel Prep track. Jorja also assists with our Xcel Team program. She loves supporting athletes as they grow in skill, confidence and teamwork!
